HubSpot pricing: what does it really cost?
HubSpot’s pricing page shows prices per seat. What a company ends up paying, though, depends on the number of users, the plan, onboarding and setup. You’ll find all of it here in one place. I’m not a HubSpot partner and I don’t sell licenses.

Costs that are easy to miss on the pricing page
The seat price is only part of the bill. These five points also decide what you end up paying.
- Required onboarding fee
- For Professional and Enterprise, HubSpot requires you to buy onboarding. The amount isn’t listed with the plan prices. Starter doesn’t require onboarding.
- User limits
- The free plan allows up to 2 users, Starter up to 10. From the 11th user on, you need Professional.
- Promotional price
- The $7 for Starter is a limited-time 65% discount. Without it, the math puts the price at $20 per seat per month.
- HubSpot Credits
- AI agents and certain features, such as automation and bulk email, use up credits. Your included credits expire every month, and anything beyond them costs extra.
- Setup
- Paying for seats doesn’t set anything up. Your pipeline, properties, workflows and migrating old data all take time, whether your own team does it or an outside provider.
Cost examples: what a team pays per year
Seat costs only, at list price and billed annually. No onboarding, no extra credits, no taxes.
- 6 users · Starter, promotional price 6 × $7 × 12$504
- 6 users · Starter, without discount 6 × $20 × 12$1,440
- 6 users · Professional 6 × $90 × 12+ onboarding$6,480
- 12 users · Professional 12 × $90 × 12 · Starter allows 10 users at most+ onboarding$12,960
With six users, Professional costs almost 13 times as much as Starter at the promotional price, and 4.5 times as much as Starter without the discount. The required onboarding comes on top. So before any upgrade, ask which feature you really need and whether there’s another way to get it.
How to pay less for HubSpot
Six levers to check before you make any licensing decision.
-
Pin down the feature first
Before you upgrade, figure out which two or three features you really need. Often the push for Professional comes down to a single feature.
-
Look at other options
Some features can be covered with the HubSpot API and external automation, such as checking for duplicates on import, moving data between systems or generating documents.
What HubSpot can’t do on its own -
Pay only for active users
HubSpot bills per seat. Only people who actually work in HubSpot need one.
-
Pay annually if you’re staying
Billed annually, Professional costs $90 instead of $100 per seat per month, and Starter costs $7 instead of $10 during the promotion.
-
Set credit limits
Keep an eye on how many HubSpot Credits you use. HubSpot lets you set limits for individual actions.
-
Get independent advice
Before you upgrade, get an opinion from someone who doesn’t sell licenses. I’m not a HubSpot partner and I don’t sell licenses.
What professional setup costs
Setup comes on top of the license. These are my price ranges. You get an exact proposal after the free intro call.
-
Onboarding: €3,000 to €6,000
A structured basic onboarding with CRM setup, a pipeline, one or two workflows and training for your team.
HubSpot onboarding -
Implementation: €5,000 to €15,000
A full rollout including migrating your data and several workflows, depending on scope.
HubSpot implementation -
Freelancer, not agency
A freelancer usually costs 30 to 50% less than an agency, because there’s no agency overhead built into the price.

Hi, I’m Lorenz.
I’ve worked with HubSpot every day for more than 6 years.
Before going independent, I helped two companies grow from around 15 to more than 60 employees within a few years, with annual revenue in the eight figures. In my last role I was responsible for all automation, the sales processes, the AI strategy, tracking, reporting and a lot more.
Today I help small and mid-sized businesses get similar results.
Frequently asked questions about HubSpot pricing
How much does HubSpot cost per month?
Billed annually, Starter currently costs $7 per seat per month (limited-time discount), Professional $90 and Enterprise $175. Billed monthly, it’s $10, $100 and $175. The free plan costs nothing. As of October 21, 2026, source: hubspot.com/pricing.
Is there a free version of HubSpot?
Yes. The free plan allows up to 2 users and includes the core CRM features: contacts, companies, deals, activities and tickets. For more users or automation, you need a paid plan.
Will HubSpot Starter pricing stay at $7?
The $7 is a limited-time 65% discount for annual billing. Without the discount, the math puts Starter at $20 per seat per month. Starter allows up to 10 users.
Do I have to pay a HubSpot onboarding fee?
For Professional and Enterprise, yes: HubSpot requires it when you buy. For Starter, no. HubSpot doesn’t list the amount with the plan prices.
Is HubSpot Professional worth the price?
If you have more than 10 users, or you need features like advanced automation and custom reports directly in HubSpot every day, often yes. If it comes down to one or two features, check first whether the HubSpot API and external automation will do the job.
What are HubSpot Credits?
Credits are HubSpot’s billing unit for AI agents and certain features such as automation and bulk email. Every paid plan includes a monthly allowance: Starter 5,000, Professional 10,000, Enterprise 15,000. Unused credits expire at the end of the month. You can buy more in packs or pay as you go.
